Happy New Year

I fancied trying to make an elegant, classy, black & white New Year card this week. Less is more I think here, I used a topper from Octavia Frosted Winter and glittered it then adhered it to a pearlised white mat & added that to the very ornate Ribbon/Gift Frame. I then turned a black A6 on it's side (landscape) mat and layered some backing paper from the same collection and then added the topper. To finish it off I also added a few gem stones. A really CAS design.

Dr Digi Christmas Chris

Oh how I laughed...... This week at Colour Crazy Challenge we are sponsored by the fantabulous Dr Digi Stamps. When I was asked to choose which image I would like to work with I just HAD to choose Christmas Chris, as for some strange reason he reminds me of my husband.

Close Up:

He's is coloured up mainly with my Prisma coloured pencils but the pudding/antlers are coloured with glitter pens. Oh and not forgetting glossy accents on his oh so shiny nose!

I also used distress ink, paper from my crafty stash and some seasonal die cuts to complete what has to be one of my favourite Christmas cards ever.

Many thanks for stopping by please feel free to leave me a comment as I do love to read them.

Xmas/Winter

Hi all! Over at Polkadoodles we are concentrating on Christmas. I've been a little short on time this week so used a pre coloured image from Winnie White Christmas and cut it out with my favourite die Bubbleicious Fame. the pretty corners and some printed vellum also add a little bit of layered interest. Not forgetting, gemstones, glitter & ribbon of course. You can never have too much sparkle at Christmas. Unfortunately the photograph doesn't do it justice.

White with a Hint of Colour

Hi all so here in the UK the clocks have recently gone back which means winter is drawing near & we edge that much closer to the festive season. Over at Polkadoodles we are focusing on Winter/Christmas and the design team have been creating using White with a Hint of Colour as a theme. You of course are free to enter with Anything Goes.

I've been very busy recently with some personal stuff so used a pre coloured image from Winnie White Christmas Big Kahuna Download Bundle to make life easier. I love the pastel tones within this collection. I resized it within my graphics programme leaving enough white space around so I could use my Bubbleicious Die to add a bit of elegance. The 5 x 5" card was matted and layered with some pale pink card stock and some pearlised 'holly embossed card stock'. I then added some ribbon, my topper and a lovely big white bow. Oh and a sentiment and some bling too.

I do hope you like my creation. Please feel free to leave me a comment. I do love to read them x

Trick or Treat

Oh my word I discovered a genius on You Tube called Jen of Eve oh she made a project using Nikky's Papers and got a tad excited lol. I in turn got a tad excited and tried to make a little flip case as an alternative treat for Halloween it's not on par (by any means) with Jen of Eve but I'm really quite proud of myself for trying something new.

The design team were asked to make anything but a card from the autumn/winter season. I've chosen Halloween again & the paper's and sentiment are from Winnie Wednesday Download Bundle. I thinks it's a fab alternative to sugar!! Feel free to hop on over and join in the challenge as always for you the theme is 'Anyting Goes'

Christmas

Brand new challenge time again over at Polkadoodles this fortnight the design team are thinking about Christmas. I thought I'd use one of the pre coloured images from Winnie Winterland and make a flip flop card.

I printed off the pre coloured digi leaving plenty of room around it so I could use my Elegant Nest die to cut it out. I also shrank down a couple of the bauble digi's and the 'wish' sentiment & printed off a couple of sheets of the gorgeous blue backing papers. I coloured the baubles in with my sparkly gel pens and attached them with some cotton and balanced up the design by adding an odd one on the opposite side along with my sentiment.

Using a Design Sheet

It's time for the Polkadoodles DT to show you what we can come up with using a design sheet from one of the fabulous collections. I used Design Sheet 5  from Horace & Boo you can also get the entire collection HERE.

I used the actual outline of the topper on the sheet to create a shaped card and just cut out and added a couple of other bits to finish my creation. Really quite simple, crafing doesnt always have to be complex. Anyone can do it. The main thing is you enjoy it. Why not pop over and join in the fun this week, the theme as always is 'Anything Goes'.

Hot Colours

It's new challenge time over at Polkadoodles. why not pop over and join in, you never know you could win a prize? The theme is always 'Anything Goes' although the DT were asked to follow the theme of 'Hot Colours'.

My interpretation was what I find 'Hot' and for me, funnily enough that means cool colours, lol. So I thought I'd share with you a really sweet cover I made for my new notebook. I used Ula Be A Princess but not before dragging her, kicking & screaming into my graphics programme where I had a beautiful backing paper waiting for her and then added the sentiment and scaled her to size. I then made a copy of just Ula and printed that off seperately. Ula's Life has some wonderful backing papers on and some templates for fab stencils. I used a couple of stencils to create more interest on my backing paper using distress inks.

I coloured in the base layer of Ula, paying more attention to the wings and outline then I moved on to my top layer. She's coloured up using my Prisma pencils. I then cut around my top layer snipping off the wings, long bits of hair & the jewels on top of her crown. I trimmed my base layer the fit my notebook then added my top layer with some silicone gel giving her a bit of dimension.  replaced the jewels with some pearl drops, added sparkle to her wings and stuck on a few sparkly sequins. I think she looks like a proper Princess now.

I do hope you like this weeks creation, thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave me a comment as I do love to read them.

Why not pop over to Polkadoodles and join in the challenge yourself. We love to see your creations. You can share with us in our Facebook Group  & to keep up to date why not sign up for the Polkadoodles Newsletter.
